I decided to share this pic after reading somewhere about a
lady who said “I can’t go on a date with any guy who doesn’t have a car”. She wasn’t joking, she said it with all seriousness. Guess what, it is this same FAULTY mentality that over 50% of the ladies on social media operate with today.
As a young man, I’m driving my car bought with my money, so talks like that don’t bother me.
But I think I owe our society a duty to help shape and balance the perspectives of many youths of today, because so many are misguided especially on issues of money and marriage.
What do I mean?
Marriage is about destiny and not about flexing. A car is something that a man can buy from just a single contract that he could get next week or next month or next year.
That your friend’s boyfriend proposed to her with a car doesn’t mean your own man is a failure if he doesn’t propose to you with a car or doesn’t even have a car of his own while proposing to you.
I know many who had cars about 20 years ago who are broke and busted today. And there are many who were not able to feed well back then, who are today’s General Overseers, Governors, Ministers, Senators, Bank MDs, and the list goes on and on.
Let me be blunt, it is stupid to equate love for a man with car; you don’t know what you are doing.
How many ladies rush to marry Billionaires who have no real love for them but their body and how did it end? Many babymamas and claims of “I don’t care what people say anymore”.
If this mentality continue, in the next 15 years Nigeria could be worse than America in divorce.
Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong in getting married to a rich man. But be sure he’s the right man for your destiny, your husband,.and not that you are blinded by his money.
If your destiny is to marry a man who’s living in just one room today, who will be the riches Pastor or Businessman or Doctor or Politician, etc tomorrow, you better slow down for your own good.
